Underground oceans of Mars

IS there is life on Mars or not? The question is still open. However, one can now say with absolute precision of water on Mars more than enough. And not only in the area of the polar caps, where it is collected in the form of frost, but in the middle latitudes, fact that recently the U.S. spacecraft Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter with radar detected in both hemispheres of the planet by a significant area of the region where the thickness of the geological structures, 50% consisted of ice, hundreds of meters down under.

According to the researchers found geological formations were formed near the end of the cold and dry period of Martian history, which began about 1.8 billion years ago and continues to this day. This discovery greatly affects our view of the history of the Martian climate. Scientists also believe that deposits of ice should be the goal of future missions to Mars, which will include automatic vehicles and astronauts.
